Vintage Camaleonda Sofa

This iconic Camaleonda, born from the creative mind of architect Mario Bellini, has become a favorite among interior designers worldwide. Originally crafted for B&B Italia in 1970, this gem ceased production in 1979, making it a highly sought-after treasure. Mario Bellini, the visionary behind the Camaleonda sofa, is no stranger to recognition. With an impressive collection of 8 Compasso D'Oro awards, his design brilliance has garnered well-deserved acclaim. Notably, his creations have found a permanent home in the esteemed Museum of Modern Art in New York City, where approximately 25 of his designs are proudly displayed. Throughout his remarkable career, Bellini collaborated with Italy's most prominent furniture companies, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. He also served as the editor of Domus, a renowned design magazine, from 1985 to 1991. But Bellini's passion extended beyond furniture and publications; he ventured into the world of architecture, creating exceptional projects that continue to captivate. Among his architectural projects are the Islamic Art Center at the Louvre, the Tokyo Design Center in Japan, and the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, along with various domestic and international ventures. Bellini's ability to seamlessly blend artistry, functionality, and innovation has made a lasting impact on the world of design.

While Bellini's portfolio boasts numerous successful furniture collaborations, two creations stand out. The 'Cab' chair, a collaboration with Cassina, continues to charm discerning individuals with its enduring appeal. Additionally, the 'Le Bambole' seating collection, born in the 1980s, enchants with its distinctive charm. And of course, the pièce de résistance remains the iconic 'Camaleonda' sofa, which perfectly encapsulates Bellini's unmatched vision and design expertise.
